UT Dallas Professor Calls Reopening Texas a "Smart Start"

"This means that we transition, and we do so very purposefully and intentionally," says Dr. Berrett.

He says health care providers in DFW have told him they are ready.

"We'll see waves of increased incidents, there's no doubt about that," says Dr. Berrett. ​ But he says the medical industry understands the virus better now, and will be ready to handle any increases.

Berrett also feels that other at-risk patients haven't been able to get proper care during this time, and it's time to make sure they get in to see the doctor again.
