DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - It was a utility pole that fell onto the building that touched off a 4-alarm apartment fire in North Dallas overnight.

Dallas Fire-Rescue says the fire at the Tivoli Apartment complex on Lina Street, not far from the Bush Turnpike broke out just before midnight and took more than 100 firefighters 3 hours to knock down.

Fortunately no one was hurt but at least 12 families now need a new place to live.

The Red Cross is helping the families displaced because of the fire.
