DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A very special North Texas high school graduate is about to make history at College Station .
Miguel Gonzalez isn't your average student, he has intellectual and developmental disabilities but that is not stopping him from living his dream of going to college.
The Westlake High grad is getting ready to start his freshman year at Texas A&M .
Gonzalez is one of the first students to be part of the Aggie ACHIEVE program.
It's the state's first inclusive, four-year education program for students with special needs.
His mother is thrilled her son has this opportunity. Vilma Luna says parents of kids with special needs have the same hopes and dreams for their kids as other parents do.
Five students are part of the program this year, they live on campus, attend classes, join clubs and dream big...just like the other students on campus.
