Texas Small Businesses: Give Us A Fair Shake

Hundreds of protestors gathered over the weekend in Austin calling on Texas Governor Greg Abbott to lift all current restrictions on Texas businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Even though the Governor has started rolling out his plan to restart the state economy, some say it's not happening quickly enough for thousands of restaurants and other small businesses that have been dealt a life-threatening economic blow by the ordered coronavirus-related closures.  They want to reopen now.

Annie Spillman is the Texas state director for the National Federation of Independent Business. On Monday, she joined the KRLD Morning News to talk about the current needs of small businesses.
