PLANO - NB DALLAS NORTH TOLLWAY between Park Blvd and Parker – 3 left lanes will be closed starting at 10 pm on Thursday, 4/11 through 5:30 am Friday, 4/12. One lane will remain open to traffic.
WEST FORT WORTH – EB I-30 will be closed at Chapel Creek Boulevard Wednesday night, 4/10 from 9 pm through 6 am Thursday, 4/11 for sign installation, weather permitting with traffic being detoured to the frontage road. Alternate routes are advised.
MEDAL OF HONOR MOTORCADE - A motorcade of more than 500 vehicles will guide Medal of Honor recipients from DFW International Airport to Gainesville on Wednesday evening (4/10). Traffic along many roadways in the area will be busier than normal during the motorcade. The recipients and dozens of law enforcement and rescue agencies are expected to leave the south end of the airport between 4 pm and 5 pm Wednesday and work their way toward Gainesville. State Highways 183, 360, 114 and 121, along with access points to both I-35E and I-35W, will be shut down in some places.
PLANO - ROAD CLOSURE DUE TO EMERGENCY WATER MAIN LEAK REPAIR - Beginning Monday, 4/8 The Ohio Drive and Rasor Blvd. intersection is closed for an emergency repair due to a water main leak and traffic can only turn right in all four directions, this could possibly last for over one to several weeks, try to avoid this intersection if at all possible or prepare for delays!
NTTA, DPS URGE WORK ZONE SAFETY AWARENESS
More than ever, distracted driving endangers drivers and highway workers across North Texas. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) holds its Work Zone Safety Awareness campaign April 8-12. Staff from the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) join FHWA in asking the public to slow down, stay off the phone and pay attention in work zones to prevent highway worker injuries and fatalities.
Friday, 4/12 – 8 pm to 6 am on Monday, 4/15, traffic will be detoured to the NB & SB 121 service roads.
CARROLLTON - BUSH TURNPIKE - The following lanes and ramps will be closed overnight from 10 pm Monday, 4/8 to 5 am Tuesday, 4/9:
· EB Bush Turnpike 2 right lanes between Frankford Road and the DNT
· EB Bush Turnpike entrance ramp from Marsh Lane
· EB Bush Turnpike exit ramp to Rosemeade Parkway/Midway Road
FRISCO - The following NIGHTLY closures are needed for construction activities associated with the SRT Fourth Lane Project through the morning of 5/3.
All lanes of Hillcrest Road/Rasor Boulevard, including the U-turns, between north- and southbound SH 121 (the SRT frontage road) will be closed nightly from 9 pm to 5 am through the morning of May 3.
Northbound Hillcrest Road detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and make a U-turn at Coit Road. Motorists will then continue west to Hillcrest Road where they will turn right.
Southbound Rasor Boulevard detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and make a U-turn at Preston Road. Motorists will then continue east to Rasor Boulevard where they will turn right.
THE COLONY/LEWISVILLE – The following NIGHTLY closures are needed for construction activities associated with the SRT Fourth Lane Project, through Friday, 4/12.
All lanes of Standridge Drive/Castle Hills Drive, including the U-turns, between north- and southbound SH 121 (the SRT frontage road) will be closed nightly from 9 pm to 5 am through the morning of Friday, April 12.
Northbound Standridge Drive detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and make a left at Josey Lane/Main Street. Motorists will then make another left onto SH 121 and continue south to Standridge Drive, where they will turn right.
Southbound Castle Hills Drive detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and continue south at the split to SH 121 Business. Drivers will then make a left on FM 2281/Old Denton Road. Motorists will make another left onto SH 121 and continue north to Castle Hills Drive, where they will turn right.
Two EB & WB lanes of SRT between Legacy Drive and Standridge Drive/Castle Hills Drive will be closed nightly from 10 pm Monday 4/1 through 5 am the morning of Saturday, 4/27.
DALLAS – As part of the S.M. Wright project at US 175 and I-45, TxDOT has closed the NB I-45 exit to Pennsylvania Avenue/MLK Boulevard for approximately six to nine months in order to reconstruct the exit ramp to Pennsylvania Avenue.
