The Richards Group, the Dallas based advertising giant, is under fire for what many are calling racist comments by founder Stan Richards.

Reports say those alleged comments are costing the firm some major clients. Motel 6 has fired the firm after it was reported Richards called a new ad pitch for the motel chain " too black ".

Richards has since apologized for the comments, but that apparently isn't enough.

Home Depot says it's now looking for another advertising firm.

Keurig Dr Pepper confirmed to advertising publication Ad Age that it also has severed ties with the company.

UT Austin, home of the Moody College of Communication , where the Stan Richards School of Advertising is located, says it will talk with Stan Richards as well as faculty, staff and students before making any decisions about how it will respond.
