A 39-year-old man has been arrested in Aubrey after police say he shot and killed his girlfriend and her son.
Police say Cory Washington called 911 around three Wednesday morning, to report he had killed his girlfriend. When officers got to his home on Blackstone Drive, they found two victims, 36-year old April Robinson and her son 18-year-old Donavan Fielder.
Washington admitted to police he believed Robinson was cheating on him and attacked her with a bat. When her son intervened, he shot him in the face. As Robinson was running away, he caught up with her and shot and killed her.
His mother was at the home at the time of the shooting and convinced Washington not to kill himself, but instead call police.
Washington is charged with two counts of capital murder. His bond is $1,002,500.
Robinson and her son are from Kentucky. A go fund me site has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses.
