Lake Worth Players Protest, Claiming Teammate Used Racial Slur

A football player at Lake Worth High School has been accused of using a racial slur during a game Friday night and his own team-mates are upset.

Yesterday, much of the Bullfrogs' squad gathered for a protest in the high school parking lot, demanding that the coach or administrators do something.

The accusation is that one of the players used a racist term during Lake Worth's game against Fort Worth Poly.

Now, the protesting players say the coach has taken no action.

Several parents reportedly met with the coach and administrators yesterday. Some parents say their sons will not suit up for Lake Worth again until this is resolved.

The district has put out a statement saying it's investigating and that "appropriate corrective action(s) will be taken."
