Man Arrested Following Shootout With Dallas Police

After a gunfight with Dallas police last night, a man is locked up this morning.

Just before 10 p.m. the shooting started, sending people in an apartment complex parking lot ducking out of sight.

Police got calls about some guy going around knocking on doors at Plaza Del Lago, a complex near Bachman Lake on Webb Chapel Extension not far from Northwest Highway. They found the man and had just started patting him down for weapons when he yanks out a pistol and starts shooting.

An officer shot back as the guy ran for it. But it didn't take long to run him down and they got the handcuffs on him without further drama. Turns out no one was wounded even with the bullets flying.

He's now behind bars and police are not saying who he is or why he was knocking on doors at ten o'clock at night.
