Man confesses in Terrell shooting; victim remains in critical condition

Terrell police have identified the man they arrested in a shooting that left the victim in the hospital. Tuesday, a passerby saw a car riddled with bullet holes crash in front of a church.

The badly wounded driver got out and begged for help. The passerby called police. They found the victim in bad shape and called paramedics who rushed the victim to the hospital.

While listed in critical condition, it's believed he will recover. Tuesday night, police arrested a man and they have now named him as Deelvin Deshaun.

Detectives say he confessed, saying he shot the man at the victim's home.  They have not said why.
