No Indictment For Man Who Killed White Settlement Church Shooter

A Tarrant County grand jury will not indict the man who stopped a potential massacre at a White Settlement church late last year.

Jack Wilson shot and killed Keith Kinnunen inside the West Freeway Church of Christ back on December 29.

During communion that morning, Kinnunen stood up and shot Richard White and Anton Wallace to death.

Wilson, who headed up the church’s volunteer security team, then shot Kinnunen once in the head, killing him.

Prosecutor Tim Rodgers says the grand jury made the right decision.

"Texas law allows an individual, when they witness somebody placing others at risk of serious bodily injury or death, to act with deadly force to protect the other individuals," says Rodgers. "He did it responsibly and, as a result, he was justified under the law in his actions."

There were 262 congregants inside the church at the time.

No one else was injured.
