Sixth grader stabbed at Handley Middle School in Fort Worth

A sixth grade student was stabbed during math class at Handley Middle School in East Fort Worth Thursday Morning.

Fort Worth police were called to the school about 10:30 a.m.

A spokesman for Fort Worth ISD says one sixth grade boy stabbed another sixth grade boy in the arm. He says the victim's injury was not life-threatening.

The student suspected of stabbing his classmate was being questioned by police at the school Thursday morning.

The district spokesman says there is ongoing threat at Handley Middle School, but parents could pick up their kids if they wanted.
