Police: Tennessee man drove to Dallas to kill ex-girlfriend's husband

A man is jailed in Tennessee for a Dallas murder that has suddenly taken a twist that police say includes what might be a love triangle.

In October of last year, Jamie Faith was shot and killed while walking with his wife Jennifer who later told NBC-5 she and Jamie had a strong bond.

Now, Dallas police wonder about that.

Court documents obtained by the Dallas Morning News suggest that Jennifer Faith told a friend she was having what she called a "full-blown emotional affair" with a man she had dated in high school and college.

Investigators also found that man had thousands of texts to, and from, Jennifer on his phone. But police learned that most of them were seemingly deleted from Jennifer Faith's phone.

GPS and debit card data show Darren Lopez made a trip from his Tennessee home to Dallas and back again in the days before and after the Jamie Faith murder.

He's now locked up in Tennessee, waiting to be extradited to Texas.
