DALLAS (KRLD) - From Southeast Texas to Louisiana, volunteers are feeding thousands.
John Hall with the Texas Baptist Men says, "When you are in an area that has already been effected by a hurricane and another storm is headed your way, it can be completely defeating. So, when our teams show up on a property and meet a family for the first time, it's a shot of energy. It's a shot of hope."
Halls says their crews have completed around 500 chainsaw requests. They've also served around 50,000 meals. But, he says it doesn't stop there.
Hall says, "Should needs arise from Sally, we are prepared to shift our teams, after we've finished here, into other areas as needed."
