Police arrested a man accused of driving his car through a grocery store and running naked through a retirement home.

Alan Roger Connor Jr. of Montana allegedly drove his white 1995 Chevy Lumina through the front door of a Super 1 Foods and throughout the business last Thursday, according to Columbia Falls police.

“I had just walked through the side doors when he crashed through the front doors,” supermarket goer Natasha Woolworth told the Associated Press.

“He went through the store and someone said he chased a guy down an aisle. It was very scary and just awful,” she added.

While he fled the scene before officers could arrive, police found his car shortly after across the highway where it had apparently crashed into a trailer.

The 50-year-old reportedly fled on foot to a nearby retirement home. The department received a call about a man running nude through the halls.

Police made the arrest outside the home.

Employees of the retirement home identified the man as having a known relationship with a resident there, the Daily Interlake reported.

Officers also determined he was the same man who drove into the grocery store.

Reports note that he was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for non-injury medical issues.

He’s also facing multiple charges including attempted negligent vehicular assault, criminal endangerment, felony criminal mischief, aggravated DUI, driving on a suspended or revoked license, operating a motor vehicle with no proof of insurance and duty to give information or render aid at an accident.

“Our investigation has led us to believe that [his] actions were not in any way related to a political, social, or terroristic-type attack and this was an isolated incident,” Chief Clint Peters said in a news release.

“Part of our investigation will be to determine whether he was under the influence while operating his motor vehicle,” Peters added.

The police indicated that the man displayed signs of “drug impairment” during his arrest.
