If you like roller coasters and precipitation, you'll like this forecast!
As I stated before, today will be a very warm and windy day with highs well up into the 80s.
Tonight, clouds will increase a cold front heading our direction by mid to late morning tomorrow. We'll start off the day tomorrow near 70ﾟ, warm up a few degrees before the strong cold front moves through the area. It will bring the chance for some scattered showers of thunderstorms, some patchy drizzle behind the front, and drop temperatures from the seventies into the fifties by afternoon. If you're heading out tomorrow evening, you will definitely need a jacket.
The weekend doesn't look half bad. Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper forties on Saturday morning with a deck of cloud still overhead. These clouds will get out of here by afternoon as temperatures only warm into the middle sixties.
Sunday looks uneventful with a quick warm up. Don't be surprised to see temperatures back in the eighties, but that will be the last time that will happen for quite sometime.
The strongest cold front of the fall season will arrive after midnight Sunday into Monday morning. Winds will turn back to the North and gust as high as 25 to 30 mph as the cold air starts to rush in during the day. Readings will fall through the forties during the day. There will also be some rain along and behind the front.
A strong, but slow moving upper level disturbance will be parked to our west on Monday and Tuesday, and finally move across the area on Wednesday. Waves of cold rain will move across the area through that time frame. Temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday will be a good 30ﾟ colder than average. Right now I'm going for afternoon highs between 38 and 42 across DFW. The freeze line, as of now, looks like it'll stay west of Hwy 281. That's where the frozen precipitation may fall.
Please keep in mind, the temperatures may be colder than I'm forecasting. Stay tuned!
