The National Weather Service says critical conditions could develop tomorrow afternoon through Friday night due to strong winds pushing through the region.

The outages are intended to prevent power lines from sparking wildfires.

If initiated, they will mainly affect the mountainous areas of Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
