A lot of things have been cancelled because of Coronavirus...but you can't cancel nature!
It's that time of year again--when the poppies are blooming in the Walker Canyon (southeast of Los Angeles) and in Antelope Valley (north of LA).
Usually, there are so many people flocking to the fields to see the flowers that visitors have to wait in their cars for hours in traffic in hopes to find a place to park. And in recent years, social media influences and users alike have also wrecked havoc on the fields-- from stepping on and picking the poppies.
But not this year! With the stay-at-home orders in place, the poppy fields are blooming like crazy. And since we can't go see it in person, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has set up a live cam so you can have a peek at the flowers.
