COVID-19 has created quite a strain on our families. That strain is felt extra hard for healthcare workers, who find themselves on the front lines of coronavirus in trying to treat victims while worried their jobs are exposing their families to it upon their return from work. However one woman is making life easier for our healthcare workers. But thanks to RVs for MDs, healthcare workers can self-isolate themselves in borrowed RVs from local owners. The Facebook public group allows RV owners to post their travel trailer, fifth wheel, pop up and motor homes up for healthcare workers to use them keep themselves isolated, but close to their family. It also is a clearinghouse for healthcare workers who are seeking out ways to keep their families safe. To put it in perspective, the group was only created last week when a Texas mother of three asked if anybody had an RV her family could borrow as her husband was an ER doctor. Her question was answered shortly by another woman who said she could borrow her RV. The two women decided that more people were in the same situation and last Tuesday, they created the RVs for MDs Facebook Group, which now has over 9000 members; quite an accomplishment for a group just over a week old! RVs for MDs is looking to set up a separate website and keep the service going even after the coronavirus crisis is over. You can visit the group by clicking here.
