Flashpoint: Maternal mortality rates, Philadanco's succession, and creek preservation

By KYW Newsradio 1060
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This week on Flashpoint: Host and KYW Newsradio community affairs reporter Cherri Gregg asks the burning questions about Philadelphia's maternal mortality rates.

The numbers resemble a third world country: For every 100,000 births, 27 women lose their lives. Black women are three times more likely to fall victim to child birth morbidities, but why? We bring in a panel of experts to discuss health care, implicit bias and other factors that lead to women dying because of child birth-related issues.

The group will host Love Your Park Day on Nov. 9.

Flashpoint airs every Saturday at 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on 1060AM. It also airs at 5 a.m. Sundays on B101FM and WPHP 1210AM and at 6 a.m. on WOGL 98.1 and TDY 96.5.
