Flashpoint: Diverse perspectives tell full story of unrest after George Floyd's death

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This week on Flashpoint: Host and KYW Community Affairs reporter Cherri Gregg asks the burning questions about the recent weeks of unrest following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody. Our journalists, like many people, have been working to process this unprecedented time in our nation’s history.

So this weekend, KYW Newsradio presents "Witness to Change: A Flashpoint Special" – a 1-hour program that reflects on the unique moment we face as a community and a nation.

This special program features the diverse voices of KYW Newsradio who have covered the events of recent weeks from both in front of and behind the mic. Our Black journalists also share their experiences and perspectives with the goal of understanding issues of systemic racism and how this flashpoint will shape the future of Philadelphia and beyond.

Flashpoint airs every Saturday at 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on 1060AM. It also airs at 5 a.m. Sundays on B101FM and WPHT 1210AM and at 6 a.m. on WOGL 98.1 and TDY 96.5. 

In addition to the normal air times, this special will also air on Monday, June 22 at noon and 7 p.m. on 1060AM.
