PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — When we talk about the health impact of COVID-19, we focus on preventing exposure and dealing with the wide variety of symptoms if we contract the virus.

But more and more, we are beginning to realize the impact on those who have ignored other health issues in an effort to avoid the virus.

Many doctors' offices are now expanding beyond telehealth and combining in-person examinations when necessary.

In addition, a growing number of preventive screening services are now being offered.

If you have been putting things off, it is time to consider re-engaging with the health system, especially if you need help.

Medical facilities are acutely aware of preventing spread and making the environment as safe as possible, and if you have questions or concerns, reach out to your doctor.
