Telehealth is the use of video conferencing to examine patients. Obviously, there are certain things that can only be done face to face. But due to the fact that we are trying to examine patients as safely as possible, telehealth has rapidly become a favorite tool of physicians and patients alike.
Many doctors who were reluctant to embrace the technology have jumped on it, while CMS and insurance companies have recognized the value of this technology (especially now) and are providing payment at a demanding time in health care.
