PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — We live in a time when information can arrive quickly on our smartphones, and alerts can be sent in an emergency.

But, what technology gives us can easily be taken away, and it’s not very hard to impact social media in overt ways or subtle ways.

This is very true for a pandemic like COVID-19, where information and misinformation can be spread rapidly.

There is no more important time than now to have trusted sources to provide this information.

If you see some dramatic fact about COVID-19 that seems too good to be true, check the source and then move to a trusted source.
