PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The summer fun might be over at Dilworth Park, but the fall and winter festivities are just getting started.

"Starting off the fall with our Oktoberfest celebration Oct. 11 through the 13th with cider making, beer tapping, great music, great food," said Michelle Shannon, vice president of marketing with the Center City District.

"We will also have our fall preview of the Made in Philadelphia market. It's a preview of what's coming in the wintertime holiday market. We have 70 vendors in the fall market so it's going to be a huge celebration," she explained.

Then comes winter at Dilworth Park.

"It's one of our busiest seasons. We kick off the season on Nov. 8 with our fire and ice celebration, which is going to be the grand opening of the Rothman Ice Rink and the Rothman Orthopedics cabin along with our winter garden, which is open for another year.," she said.

The winter garden is really fun and has become selfie central.

"There will be fire dancers and all kind of ice carvings. The deck, the hall light show is a light show that is projected onto the west face of City Hall. We have fire pits and chairs you can sit in to take in the lights of the city. It's quite special to sit outside with the fire pit and look up at the skyscrapers. It's something other worldly. It's very, very special. "
