There are 14 total known cases of COVID-19 in the NBA. In addition to the Sixers’ announcement, two players on the Los Angeles Lakers tested positive, as did the Boston Celtics’ Marcus Smart and a member of the Denver Nuggets. Before Thursday, known cases included Utah Jazz All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell; four Brooklyn Nets players; and a Detroit Pistons player, which was later revealed to be Christian Wood, according to multiple reports.
