PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — As she settles into her new position as chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer for AmeriHealth Caritas, Karen Dale is putting a long-term plan in place to recruit the next generation of leaders and to change the company’s culture.

AmeriHealth wasn’t alone in its search to expand on diversity. Far from it, according to Judith von Seldeneck, founder of the Philadelphia-based headhunting firm Diversified Search.

“We have been inundated with requests from every kind of organization you can think of: nonprofits, foundations, corporations, major health care systems, colleges, you name it,” von Seldeneck said.

“We all know that growth happens in those times where we are not as comfortable,” Dale added. “I’m looking forward to not only how we execute on our planning, but how we also grow from it and keep evolving.”
