PHILADELPHIA (WIP Sportsradio) — The Eagles were without right guard Brandon Brooks on Sunday for the majority of the game after he left early due to an illness.

After the game, head coach Doug Pederson did not go into detail as to why Brooks left or what happened.

On Monday, Brooks tweeted out a statement, explaining that his absence did indeed have to do with the anxiety issue he has dealt with throughout his career.

Brooks missed a game in 2016 due to anxiety, and has spoken at length in the past about the steps he has taken to be able to play through it. On Sunday, after having to bench Andre Dillard due to poor play, the Eagles put Halapoulivaati Vaitai in at right tackle and Matt Pryor in at right guard.

The Eagles next play in Miami against the Dolphins on Sunday.
