The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks is adding a drive-in movie theater experience to provide a morsel of summer entertainment amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Dubbed “Cinema Pop-Ups” by entertainment company Kilburn Live, the theater will play a variety of movies through Aug. 2.
Tickets are available for $25 per car — not per person. The exception is for a one-night Blake Shelton cinematic concert, which goes for $115 per car.
The following movies will be shown at 9 p.m. at the Expo Center Fairgrounds:
Thursday, July 23: “Beetlejuice”
Friday, July 24: “The Goonies”
Saturday, July 25: Blake Shelton Encore Drive-In Nights featuring Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins
Sunday, July 26: “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory”
Thursday, July 30: “Shazam!”
Friday, July 31: “Palm Springs” (a Hulu original film, now streaming)
Saturday, Aug. 1: “The Wizard of Oz”
Sunday, Aug. 2: “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone”
Some of the same screenings will also be shown at Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey. More information and tickets can be found here.
