Code Blue continues in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Code Blue issued on Tuesday is still in effect in the city of Philadelphia until further notice. 
During bitter cold conditions, when the temperature nears 20 degrees Fahrenheit or lower, special measures are taken to keep homeless people safe. This includes operating a 24-hour outreach line to find safe, indoor spaces for everyone; opening all available beds in the emergency housing networ; and allowing homeless people to stay inside emergency housing throughout the day.

?? The #CodeBlue is in effect until further notice for the city of Philadelphia. Due to extremely cold conditions, the City is implementing special measures to keep people who are homeless safe. If you see someone who needs shelter, call (215) 232-1984.
