The Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police spent the past week collecting the supplies.
"Water, Gatorade, snacks, toiletries, sheets, pillows — things like that," said Chris Eiserman with the Delco FOP.
Eiserman says originally they expected the supplies would go to Florida or the Carolinas, but they shifted gears when they saw the destruction in the Bahamas.
"Every little bit helps," Eiserman said. "The Bahamas have been devastated, so it's the little things like this that we can do to help these people get back on their feet and get their lives moving forward again."
Because of Dorian's mass destruction, it's a challenge to get supplies where they need to go, but Mike Gerace, whose company is helping to pack, store and ship the supplies, says it's a challenge they'll gladly accept.
"This is what we do every day," Gerace said. "The big thing is we're helping people that need help."
