PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man is being charged in what police in Camden County are calling a bias crime after a stabbing earlier this week.

Camden County Police say 66-year-old Rocky Kowalczyk of Woodbury was arrested Tuesday night, shortly after the attack.

Police say Kowalczyk had been kicked off a bus on Broadway around 9:15 p.m. He then got into a dispute of some kind that ended with Kowalczyk allegedly stabbing a man.

As the victim and a witness walked away from the scene, police say Kowalczyk followed them while yelling racial slurs at the two. He was picked up by officers at Broadway and Morgan Boulevarad, and he is now being charged with a number of crimes, including attempted homicide and bias intimidation.  The victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was treated for the stab wound.
