Police say it happened right before 8:30 along West Grange Avenue near Conlyn Street.
Police Capt. Frank Llewellyn says cops got a call about gunshots in this relatively quiet neighborhood.
"They found a male shot five times — twice in the abdomen, once in the back. Two were in the arms," Llewellyn said. "They transported him immediately to Einstein Hospital. He was pronounced at 8:32 p.m."
Police have not released the man's age or identity.
Llewellyn says no video of the incident has been recovered. However, he said, "we're going to still canvass the area and see if there's any cameras outside."
Police haven't recovered any weapons or identified any suspects.
