PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Montgomery County man is facing first-degree murder charges, accused of beating his father to death.

According to charging documents, 28-year-old Maximillian Han told detectives he felt like a mixed martial arts fighter as he beat his 58-year-old father to death in their home on Hood Lane in Ambler.

After police were called to the home, they said Han told them he left the house after he got mad at his father and went to the mall and the gym.

But investigators said Han's right hand was bruised and swollen, and they said he eventually told them he'd lied, and that he had beaten his father to death.

They also said, after the beating, he took his father's cell phone and sold it at the mall for $20.
