Three years ago, Stacy Ludie's daughter Allysia and her young granddaughter Anastasia were murdered while in their home.
"They were killed by a random intruder. He was a pedophile, and he broke in, he was after the baby," she said.
Ludie says that unthinkable moment changed her life forever.
"It was absolutely devastating. I mean who expects that? You just think that will never happen to me," she said.
Tuesday, Stacy spoke at the 29th annual homicide vigil in Montgomeryville, Montgomery County.
"It's best for me to help myself out of the rut, if I can pull others up behind me," Ludie said.
Erin Milbourne with Victim's Services says they want people grieving the loss of a loved one to know what resources are at their disposal.
"Our hope is this program will bring out families, and they'll get connected and find that healing in support," Milbourne said.
During the vigil, grieving families also got a chance to light candles.
