PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio)  A new podcast that captures the stories of those dating during the COVID-19 lockdown is quickly growing and gaining new listeners.

"Dating Diaries: Quarantine Confessions" is a new podcast that tells some of the successes and failures of dating during the coronavirus crisis.

"People who are single are living this anticipatory anxiety, like what does my love life look like. Like, how do I find love? ‘Cause, you know, I don't know if I feel safe calling for a hookup,” said Andrea Gunning, co-host of the podcast.

She came up with the idea after talking to friends about how the quarantine impacts how you meet people, get to know them, and spend time with them.

"There's a lot of shenanigans going on in the dating world where people are not great. There's ghosting happening and people are acting just like idiots,” she added.

But there's also a lot of introspection and connection going on, too.

"Everything from people finding true love, to heartbreak, to people dealing with their old ways and trying to justify their behavior and they're not getting it, so it's pretty fascinating,” Gunning added.

So far, they have three episodes and three bonuses, and have attracted a following literally overnight.

"The following just, like, multiplied. I am so grateful and excited,” she added.
