PennDOT extends expiration dates amid coronavirus closures

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — PennDOT is extending some expiration dates as its offices remain closed until further notice.

Any driver's license, photo ID, learner's permit, and vehicle registration set to expire from now until April 30th has been extended to May 31.

Driver License Centers are closed and there's no date set for when they will reopen. License exams scheduled at locations on or before April 3 have been cancelled and rescheduling is suspended until centers reopen.

PennDOT has also extended deadlines on vehicle safety inspections and emissions inspections until May 31st for vehicles with March or April stickers. Temporary disability placards that expire in March or April are extended until the end ofMay as well.
