Elodie Witkowski made her first Jersey Shore trip of the season on Friday.
"I've been coming here for 62 years, and absolutely love it here," he said. "It's our favorite town. Because it's well kept, it's quiet, relaxing. It's all about focusing on family."
Kurtz is in town for a family reunion, and they are going to the beach Friday. It's a good choice, because the weather is beautiful.
As the crowds grew throughout the day, we also met Dottie McCrosson, who lives in Ocean City all year. She said after Memorial Day weekend, it gets a little more quiet in June.
"The crowds are here, but it's not crazy," she said. "The Fourth of July, it becomes Mardi Gras in Ocean City without the alcohol."
She admits it's always nice after Labor Day, when the crowds start to dwindle, but she always welcomes anyone who comes to the shore in the summer.
