Wawa donates refrigerator truck to aid NJ coronavirus response

NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Wawa has come through with a donation to help New Jersey's coronavirus response — that underscores how serious this pandemic is.

More than 1,500 people have died from the coronavirus in New Jersey, and the count is climbing. Bergen County is the hardest hit, with thousands of confirmed cases.

Morgues and funeral homes in the area have taken in all they can handle.

Murphy says leaders of the company heard about the state's need and came with a heavy heart, looking to help. Wawa confirmed the donation, and said that the company will not get the unbranded trailer back when the pandemic is over.
