Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and attending the University of California, Bryan moved to Philadelphia in 1990 from his TV Sports Anchor gig in New England. His first job here was as a producer for KYW Newsradio's sister station, WIP. He left for a brief stint in Trenton radio in charge of production, co-hosting a PM drive talk show and filling in for Tom McCarthy’s sports talk show. From there, he joined Express Traffic (AKA Shadow Traffic) in 1992 and has been heard on the KYW airwaves almost continuously ever since, save for a brief sabbatical earlier this decade. Outside the Traffic Center, Bryan still works in sports as a public-address announcer for several colleges, including Drexel Wrestling & Basketball and Widener Football. He has also performed as an actor in dozens of stage productions, provided voice acting for commercials, narrations and character voices, as well as working as an movie extra on “Creed,” “Untouchable” with Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston, and M. Night Shymalan’s “Glass.” Bryan has close ties to the business community, having excelled in technology sales and marketing as well. He is an active networker; for a decade was an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia. Other off-mic pursuits include animal activism, trivia, being an avid sports fan of the Philly Four and local college hoops, watching movies and TV of all genres, playing mediocre golf and poker. Bryan lives in Havertown with his far better half Teresa and her son, Alex, a history grad from West Chester University who will be teaching high school & coaching after helping the Golden Rams to the NCAA playoff second round in 2017.
