A very early innovator of the all-news format, KYW Newsradio has been serving the Delaware Valley since September 1965. Its 50,000-watt AM radio signal at 1060khz can be heard throughout much of eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and northern Delaware from its transmitting site in Whitemarsh. In November 2020, KYW Newsradio added an FM simulcast on 103.9 FM (WPHI-FM), serving the community from high above the Schuylkill River in Roxborough. The station is also simulcast on the HD-2 channel of 94.1 FM.
In addition, KYW Newsradio’s internet stream is heard on the free RADIO.COM mobile app, as well as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices. Simply tell your device to "play KYW Newsradio."
In addition to a local staff of experienced and award-winning broadcast journalists, KYW Newsradio is an affiliate of CBS News and Bloomberg. Meteorologists at partner station NBC10 First Alert Weather provide the latest weather updates.
Entercom Communications is the owner and licensee of the station.
