PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — As we approach the holiday season, we’ve got a fun and festive KYW To-Do List for you this weekend, Philly.

Head to the ice rink or pick up a pierogi. Enjoy a screening at the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival, or find some cool threads at a local artist market.

Whichever way you choose to spend your first November weekend, we’ve got you covered with our favorite picks below.

FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT

You don’t want to miss homemade pierogies at this year’s Pierogi Festival on Saturday and Sunday. Feel free to pre-order your pierogies, kielbasa, and more online.

Secure your tickets to the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival — held virtually this year — and gain access to a wide selection of influential films, creative discussions and more.

Dilworth Park’s Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink opens to the public on Friday, boasting wintry fun for all ages. Still feeling a fall vibe? Over the next two weekends, head on over to Peddler’s Village for AppleTime in the Village. Enjoy apple-themed food and beverages galore, as well as live entertainment — sights, smells, and the sounds of autumn!

ENDLESS ART

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is holding its annual art craft show this year virtually. Check out the shops from Friday through Sunday with free admission, though there is a suggested donation of $10 to support the museum.

On Friday, support local artists at the Artist and Artisans Market, located at the Cherry Street Pier, as you gear up for your holiday shopping. Stroll through the socially distant marketplace for fun finds, as well as food.

Take a visit to Mystery Island and the Marvelous Occurrence of Spontaneous Art (aka M.I.M.O.S.A.) for their last week of public artwork throughout Philadelphia’s former League Island. Mask up and head to the Navy Yard for your last chance to see this cool temporary art.
