PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — There has been a great deal of talk about a second wave like we saw a hundred years ago with the Spanish flu.

However, unlike the Spanish flu where there were months with limited cases, we have had a continuous flow of COVID-19 with different parts of the country experiencing peaks and dips.

That is why there is concern that things are likely to get bad in the winter, especially if we continue to relax measures in places where COVID-19 cases are high or increasing.

Masks, social distancing and washing hands consistently throughout the country while testing and tracking extensively are still the most effective weapon against COVID-19.

We need to get better at following the numbers to determine how often we can go out and about.
