PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Montgomery County is updating election information, including the locations of its ballot drop boxes.
There will be 10 secure ballot drop boxes across the county, according to Montgomery County Commissioner Ken Lawrence, chair of the county's board of elections.
"Completed mail-in ballots and absentee ballots can be dropped off starting Saturday, October 3. And ballots placed in these secure boxes will be deleivered to voter services daily and stamped as received," he explained.
The boxes have limited hours available on the county website and all but one are drive up and drop off.
Lawrence said they're also opening four satellite voter services offices where people can register to vote and sign up for mail-in ballots in person.
Polling places are also being finalized for in-person voting.
"Most polling locations are returning to their previous places but some will have to be moved because of COVID," he said.
Lawrence said letters will be going out to all registered county voters with updated polling information in the coming weeks.
