You can stumble upon some pretty strange items at a grocery store, especially with Halloween and fall around the corner, but this item takes the cake.

A shopper found that a supermarket in the U.K. was selling autumn leaves with the following description: "Bring the outdoors indoors and brighten up your home with freshly picked flowers that reflect the colours of the season."

While the intention may have been sound, many couldn't help but point out that the bouquet seemed to be composed of leaves that have been picked up off the ground. The grocery store then bunched it into a bouquet and wrapped it up in plastic packaging to make it look like an autumnal centerpiece.

"Hello @waitrose I applaud you for trying to sell customers a bunch of leaves for £6. You are having an Autumnal laugh #leavesforlaughs," Twitter user Sharon Hanley tweeted along with a photo of the item.

One user suggested a cheaper alternative: "Ha ha ha. This is too much. Get them free from my garden, I will provide the bin bags."

As the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
