Vehicle passes are now on sale for the 2020 Austin Trail of Lights in Zilker Park which will be a drive-thru event this year, open on select dates from November 28 to January 3.
General admission passes will range from $25 to $35 per vehicle, depending on entry time and date, with designated access each hour beginning at 7 p.m. A "Dash Pass" is also available for $60 per vehicle, allowing for early access beginning at 5:45 p.m. as well as a box of holiday cookies, bottled water, and the new ATX Lights Savings Card which offers discounts at restaurants and retailers. A Premiere Night pass is also available for $95 per vehicle for the opening night on November 28.
Vehicles that hold 10 or more passengers will need to purchase a second pass. All vehicles need to be enclosed, street-legal, and less than 27 feet in length.
Dates and entry times are available at www.AustinTrailOfLights.org. All passes must be purchased online; no passes will be available on-site.
In addition to the public nights, the Trail of Lights will host private nights allowing free entry through the STARS at the Trail program for over 30 non-profit partners in the community, as well as provide thousands of vehicle passes to eligible families throughout the Austin Independent School District.
Starting as a small community gathering around a yule log in 1965, the Austin Trail of Lights now features more than 2 million lights illuminating the park, 90 lighted holiday trees and more than 70 other holiday displays and lighted tunnels.
