The first time I followed Chad Robertson's recipe for Basic Country Loaf (homemade sourdough bread) it was a mess. The good thing is that even bad bread is delicious. But I persisted and now I can produce loaves that look like this.
This is why I am completely impressed that Pink's very first attempt at making this bread came out beautifully! Look at this. Wouldn't you buy that in a shop?!
She even forgot to score it. Nature took care of that, too. Anyone can bake this bread, it just takes time and patience but the first attempt is not usually so pretty.
