Justin Timberlake and Meek Mill Link Up on the Hopeful 'Believe'

The first collaboration between the two

Last year fans were instantly excited when pictures emerged of Meek Mill and Justin Timberlake in the studio together, working on music and discussing the future in posts in August. Today we hear the first sample from their collaboration, a hopeful song of perseverance called, “Believe.”

Set against the backdrop of the criminal justice system, Meek Mill taps into experience about overcoming as Justin Timberlake provides the soulful hook.

“This is a special track and I’m grateful I had the opportunity to collaborate with Justin on it,” Meek Mill says in a statement. “We really wanted to send a motivational message that would inspire people to take it to the next level and pursue their dreams. That turnt s*** coming soon as well.”

Does that mean more in the works from the pair? Maybe. The two were also with Lizzo when those first photos emerged.

“Meek is at the top of his game right now. The process of creating with him in the studio to help him put what he experienced to music was incredible,” adds Timberlake.

“Believe” is the second new song of 2020 for Meek Mill, following his GRAMMY debut of “Letter To Nipsey” last month. Proceeds from that song benefit the family of Nipsey Hussle.

The late rapper also makes an appearance in the video for “Believe,” with the image of him appearing on Meek’s chain as the pair sing about the fallen ones. Watch the video for “Believe” above.
