COVID-19 test? Check!
If you're traveling into or out of Oakland International Airport, you'll soon find the first vending machine that dispenses coronavirus tests.
According to Wellness 4 Humanity, the machines will be located at Terminal 1 as soon as next week.
They will dispense at-home rapid antigen, saliva and PCR tests. They'll be similar to vending machines already installed at UC San Diego. Kits will start at $130.
Results will be revealed in 15 minutes. For the latest on what you need to in regards to COVID-19 and air travel head to CDC.gov.
With so many people traveling, vending machines at the airport offer a wide-variety of necessary items.
Back in May, vending machines at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas began carrying personal protective equipment including hand sanitizer to alcohol wipes inside Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
Soon after, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) introduced face mask vending machines in an attempt to encourage the safety of riders who use the system. BART officials said the mask requirement will likely be in effect for a long time, and they are working with other transit agencies to ensure that rules are consistent for riders.
