Woman, 36, Arrested After Calling 911 to Complain About Parents Cutting Off Phone

Mom, dad, turn on the phone!

A 36-year-old Ohio woman is facing legal trouble after repeatedly calling 911 to complain about her parents turning off her cell phone service, reports The Smoking Gun.

Seloni Khetarpal was arrested for disrupting public services after calling the emergency police line twice, requesting cops to be dispatched to her family’s residence in the town of Canton.

According to a criminal complaint, an operator told Khetarpal to “only call for police assistance for legitimate purposes” following her request for cops to come out to the home.

The 36-year-old attempted to escalate the issue once more when she called 911 again two hours later.

Khetarpal, a licensed real estate salesperson, was arrested and booked into a local jail.

Although she was released on $2,500 bond, she is scheduled for a Feb. 27 preliminary hearing in Massillon Municipal Court.

She faces felony charges.

Court documents do not reveal why the woman’s parents cut off their daughter’s service.
